Life is fun with events, friends, and festivals to attend. In Meredith Town, there is no shortage of this. You’ll be rather overwhelmed by the number of such activities in a single month! If you are a tourist planning a visit soon, it will be beneficial having a foreknowledge of the specific dates of these events to help plan your visit better. Here is a comprehensive list, in chronological order, from September 2017 to August 2018 to serve as your guide.

September 23

Upper Pond Adventure at Squam Lakes Natural Science Center from 10am to 11:30am. The 13th Annual Harvest festival holding at Remick Museum. A reading event from Matt Esenwine on his first picture book titled, ‘Flashlight Night’. You can catch the fun live at Mill Falls Marketplace by 6:30 pm. Another interesting timeout by Forestview Manor tagged, ‘I Walk for the Future’.

September 24

Squam Lakes Natural Science presents a fitness-inclined activity, ‘Yoga Walk’. With this event, you get both walking and yoga in one. Come prepared!

September 24 to 30

This date is dedicated to the celebration of the active aging adults. You can have a glimpse of the abilities of the older generation here. Taylor Community is your host at no cost.

September 25

‘Why Family Stories Matter’, a presentation from the Taylor community and anchored by Dan Darling, Heartstring Media owner, is all for you on 25th. Location is Woodside Building at 6:30pm and it’s open to all at no cost.

September 27

It is health time at Flu Clinic, Doris Benz Center, Sandwich, from 11am to 1pm on 27th. Creating a Business plan’ comes up later on from Lakes Region S.C.O.R.E. All SCORE clients are admitted free and venue is Main St., Laconia at 5:30pm. Find out all you should know about Laconia at ‘Laconia History’. You’ll get the opportunity to have a move round town virtually while on site, when exposed to history of the area. Your host is Pat Tierney, the executive director at Laconia History and Museum. Interlakes Community Caregivers 7th Annual Mini Golf Tournament is also organised for this day.

September 28

Fiesta in Spain: Fire, Faith, and Food’ is a center Harbor Historical Society presentation. Your host is John Chaston at 7pm at Village schoolhouse museum. 5th annual Broadway Idol is a singing competition for local singers. Hosting is by the Winnipesaukee Playhouse. 25th annual New Hampshire Marathon is held on this day. From September 30th to October 1st, it is Fall Crafts Fair event at Mill Falls Marketplace. Also on this schedule are good Libations Tour, Winery Tour, Wine Tasting and Barrel Tasting by Hermit Woods winery.

October 3

Tom’s Plant’s Bald Peak: Country Club and Golf by Meredith Historical Society is held at Main Street Museum at 7pm for all participants at no cost.

October 5

Squam Lake Natural Science Center presents to you, ‘Invasive Species Work day’ for this date. From October 5-8 is ‘Deathtrap’, a presentation by Winnipesaukee Playhouse.

October 6

Meredith Bay Colony Club – Montgomery Wards/Sears Roebuck. Columbus day weekend is held between 6-9 of October on Lake Winnipesaukee.

October 7

Fall Foliage Photo Cruise is by Squam Lakes Natural Science Center. Advanced registration is needed. Annual Lincoln Fall Craft Festival starts on this day and runs through to the 9th. From 7th to 9th is Sandwich fair, held at the center in Sandwich. Lakes Region Parade of Homes is held between 7-9, showcasing well-crafted homes.

October 11

Meredith Bay Colony Club brings to town the Baker Valley Band at 6:30 pm.

October 14

3rd annual New Hampshire Pumpkin festival. Halloween Hoot and Howl is presented by Squam Lakes Natural Science Center.

October 20

Interactive ArtTalks by Meredith Bay Club.

October 21

Annual Halloween Masquerade Ball by Winnipesaukee Flagship.

October 21-22

Old Farm Day by Moulton Farm.

October 26

Casino Night for Charities is part of Meredith Rotary Club’s presentation.

October 29

The Great Pumpkin Drop is Moulton Farm’s presentation.

November 2

Lakes Region Uncorked is an event put together by Lakes Region Community. Full Moon Hike from Moultonborough.

November 3

From 3-5 is Lord of the Flies by Winnipesaukee Playhouse

November 4

Beethoven’s 5th is Lakes Region Symphony Orchestra presentation at Community Auditorium.

November 18

Holiday Craft Fair presentation by First Congregational Church of Meredith.

December 1

22nd Annual Festival of Trees is held between 1st and 3rd at Waukegan Golf Club. It is a presentation by Altrusa of Meredith.

December 2

Homestead Christmas at Remick Museum.

December 3

Annual Open Houses both in Mill Falls Marketplace and in Meredith.

December 5

Meredith Historical Society Annual Luncheon and Election of officers.

December 9

9th Annual Holiday Bazaar and Craft Fair by Belknap Mill Society.

December 9-10

Holiday Pops by Lakes Region Symphony orchestra.

Snow White, by Winnipesaukee Playhouse, is a traditional English musical comedy.

February 2 – 4, 2018
